Haiku Poem

One of my middle block tasks was to make a haiku poem. There are only three lines, totaling 17 syllables. The first line has 5 syllables. The second line has 7 syllables and then the last line has 5 syllables like the first. I found this very challanging because I have never made a haiku poem. This made me use my brain and if i needed to then i'll ask and expert on blogger for help. I worked very hard to make it and here it is: deep colbat water, endless sight of mystery, sun glows hapily. How would you make one and what about?

Possum trap

Last week our reading was about possums and pests, one of our tasks was to make a poster of a possom trap. I am proud of this work because i like learning about possums and traps.

Cross Country

 

I ran cross country and came 2nd.  I tried to beat Jake, but he came 1st.  I will practice and beat him next year.

 Today Mrs B and Simon showed me how to use Prototec. Prototec is a website that helps me practice my basic maths facts.  I loved doing it but I was a bit slow. Don't worry... Mrs B says I'll get faster if I practice. Here is my certificate for today:

Today I read to  Amanda and Douglas and I did a whole page of learning. I 

was good to Mrs Broadwith. 

I played a game with Mr Metzger. It was fun playing . 

We went running with the class room and I was reading to Mr Metzger 

It was fun today  and I did perfect hand writing.

  

Writing About a Special Person

 

This week we have been focusing on writing about special person in the school.

I chose Miss Wentworth who was my teacher last year. Here is what I wrote:

A special person in the school is Miss Wentworth. She is special because she speaks kindly to me. She is calm and caring to my friends and l. Her qualities are lovely, positive and great! When I am in her classroom I feel happy!😎👻✌

I like everything about this writing. It is cool. It was hard work... and took me ages... but it was fun to do. I am glad I wrote about Miss Wentworth.

We are learning to be good readers. 

I read about seeds growing to a plant. I really enjoyed reading 

I felt successful because I got all my answers right. 

Next time I will work on staying focused but Mrs B said I did a really good job.
